Utah Broadband Map Resources

BBMap_SpeedsSmall_fixed Highest Available Broadband Speeds in Utah. This map shows the highest available maximum advertised download speed over a fixed broadband connection advertised primarily to a residential user. A Fixed connection includes DSL, Cable, Fiber, and Fixed Wireless. Typically, a user connects to a fixed connection for their home internet use.
BBMap_SpeedsSmall_fixed_allmarkets Highest Advertised Broadband Speeds in Utah. This maps shows the highest available maximum advertised download speed over a fixed connection advertised to any residential or business customer. A Fixed connection includes DSL, Cable, Fiber, and Fixed Wireless.
BBMap_SpeedsSmall_Mobile Mobile Broadband Coverage. This map shows the highest available mobile maximum advertised download speed available along major highway corridors in Utah. Mobile service is primarily accessed through a mobile device, such as a smart phone or tablet.

Fixed Broadband Provider Count. These map shows the number of providers advertising at a certain speed threshold in each census block. There are three speed thresholds the Project defined based on 3 broadband use cases of varying advertised speed need.

BB_UseCases_April14 Use Cases – Basic Consumer Broadband. These maps show the availability of three different broadband use cases. The broadband use cases are based on three different general uses that require different advertised speed needs. The maps show for each use case where it is available, and where there are populated areas that do not have access to the given use case.
